15:09Become Local-First: Not Your Keys, Not Your Data | Matěj Husák, Trezor | ETHSofia 2026
ETHSofiaOct 6, 2026
Matěj Husák of Trezor argues that self-custody has solved the keys but not the data, such as transaction labels that usually end up in a local file or someone else's cloud. He explains the local-first approach, named in a 2019 Ink and Switch essay, where the device is the source of truth and a relay only syncs encrypted copies, and why it is not the same as offline mode. He then walks through Trezor's use of the Evolu library: deriving the owner ID, write key and encryption key from the wallet seed using SLIP-21, resolving conflicts with hybrid clocks in CRDT message envelopes, limiting relay abuse with a quota manager that checks the hardware wallet, and padding data so the relay sees little beyond owner ID hashes and timestamps. Keynote at ETHSofia 2026, 24 September 2026, Sofia Tech Park, Sofia. Part of Blockchain Week Bulgaria 2026. Private Atomic DvP on Ethereum No More Trade offs | Alex Gluchowski (Matter Labs) at ETHConf
ETHGlobalJul 9, 2026
In this talk, Alex Gluchowski, co-founder of Matter Labs and zkSync, presents Prividium, a framework for private atomic delivery versus payment (DvP) on Ethereum. He frames DvP, a term from institutional finance meaning token swap settlement, as one of the most important and unsolved problems for institutions adopting blockchain. Alex walks through why each existing solution falls short: public chains like Ethereum have great properties but expose all positions and transactions, ruling them out for banks bound by secrecy rules. Private permissioned chains offer perfect privacy but are not interconnected, limiting their value since the whole point of blockchains is being the internet of value. External bridges connecting private chains become the de facto settlement layer with their own trust assumptions, losing the security of both origin and target chains. Mediated networks using operator attestation or fully homomorphic encryption still rely on contractual or threshold trust in operators. Alex introduces Prividium as a framework where institutions run their own cryptographically secured private chains on their own infrastructure with absolute physical data privacy, while settling on Ethereum as the credibly neutral settlement layer. Zero knowledge proofs guarantee that even a dishonest or compromised operator cannot finalize invalid transactions. He highlights the ability to deploy a smart contract once that virtually mirrors into all zones and enforces rules automatically without the issuer ever seeing the underlying data. He then walks through the technical flow of private atomic DvP: parties agree on a transaction, generate a cryptographic commitment hash, post it to a data availability layer and Ethereum settlement layer, lock assets on both sides, and use the canonical L2 state roots on Ethereum to verify execution and either release funds or revert atomically. He closes by noting the network is growing with the Kerry network consortium of five US regional banks plus participation from Deutsche Bank and other FMIs. 00:00 Introduction 00:11 What Is DvP and Why It Matters 00:48 The Tradeoffs in Existing Blockchain Solutions 01:07 Public Chains Are Too Public for Institutions 01:54 Private Chains Are Isolated and Disconnected 02:33 External Bridges Become the Settlement Layer 03:14 Mediated Networks and Their Trust Assumptions 03:35 Operator Attested and FHE Limitations 04:40 Introducing Prividium 05:09 Cryptographically Secured Private Chains on Ethereum 05:42 Permissioning, Roles, and OIDC Integration 06:16 Zero Knowledge Proofs Guarantee Execution Correctness 06:50 Rules That Apply Beyond Your Zone 07:30 The Old Way: Bilateral Agreements and Rulebooks 07:52 Virtual Mirrored Smart Contracts Enforce Rules Automatically 08:16 Why Private DvP Is the Hardest Cross Zone Example 08:51 Traditional Sequential DvP and Counterparty Risk 09:40 Atomic Swaps Collapse Settlement Risk 10:10 How Private Atomic DvP Works Step by Step 10:36 Cryptographic Commitments and Mutual Intent 11:17 Posting Commitments to DA and Settlement Layer 11:50 Locking Assets in Escrow Contracts 12:26 Reading L2 State Roots from Ethereum 12:55 Verifying Cross Chain Execution 13:25 Happy Path Release vs Revert Path 14:04 Multi Zone Chained Transactions 14:36 The Kerry Network and Growing Adoption 14:48 Closing _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ *ETHConf 2026* ETHConf is a 3 day event for founders, industry leaders, and builders who are excited about the possibilities of building on top of Ethereum. 21:16Flare Workshop - Introduction to TEEs on Flare I Nik Erzetic
ETHGlobalMay 9, 2026
In this workshop, Nik Erzetic, a developer at Flare Network, introduces Flare Smart Accounts and Flare Confidential Compute, two key pieces of Flare's infrastructure. Flare Smart Accounts use account abstraction to allow XRPL users to perform actions on the Flare blockchain without holding any Flare tokens, by bridging encoded instructions from XRPL payment transactions to personal account smart contracts on Flare. The session focuses primarily on Flare Confidential Compute, which leverages Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to extend blockchain security to handle private data and computationally heavy tasks. Nik walks through the architecture of TEE extensions on Flare, explaining how developers only need to modify two components — the instruction sender smart contract and the TEE extension code itself. He demos the FC Sign repository as a practical example, covering op types, op commands, and how the TEE securely handles private keys and transaction signing. The workshop concludes with notes on local development tooling for the hackathon and a brief Q&A. 00:00 Introduction 00:25 What Are Flare Smart Accounts 04:02 Account Abstraction and XRPL Integration 06:06 Encoding Custom Instructions 07:00 What Are Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) 08:18 Flare Confidential Compute Architecture 09:38 Developer Workflow: Smart Contract and TEE Extension 10:36 TEE Proxy and Firewall Security Model 11:06 FC Sign Repository Walkthrough 12:48 Instruction Sender Smart Contract 14:04 Op Types, Op Commands, and Message Encoding 15:52 Go TEE Extension: Handlers and Config 17:32 Local Development Setup for the Hackathon 18:35 AI Skills for Building TEE Extensions 19:07 Q&A _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ *ETHGlobal Cannes 2026* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal Cannes 2026, a 3-day hackathon held April 3-5 at the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! 14:55Introduction to the Agent eXchange Layer (AXL) I Judson Bonneville
ETHGlobalMay 9, 2026
In this workshop, Judson Bonneville from Gensyn introduces the Agent eXchange Layer (AXL), a decentralized peer-to-peer mesh networking layer that lets agents, tools, and machine learning workloads discover each other and communicate in a fully encrypted environment. AXL is a single Go binary that handles all networking — message routing, NAT traversal, and dual-layer encryption (hop-by-hop TLS plus end-to-end payload encryption) — with no central servers, DNS, port forwarding, or cloud accounts required. Applications interact through just three HTTP endpoints on localhost: send, receive, and topology. Judson explains how nodes join a bootstrap network and find each other via public keys (like phone numbers), enabling fully peer-to-peer communication where intermediary nodes can see transmissions happening but never the content. He covers AXL's support for MCP (exposing named services for structured JSON-RPC responses) and Google's A2A agent protocol for skill discovery. Use cases include agent collaboration, service registries, private data exchange, distributed inference with pipeline parallelism, and any peer-to-peer application. He demos a group chat app where two nodes message each other and share an OpenClaw agent instance, with the agent maintaining conversation context across multiple users — all built with simple HTTP calls to localhost while AXL handles the infrastructure. 00:00 Introduction 00:12 What Is the Agent eXchange Layer (AXL) 00:53 How AXL Works: Peer-to-Peer Mesh Network 01:36 Application Agnostic: Any Language, Any Payload 01:57 Public Keys as Node Identity 02:17 No Central Servers, No Port Forwarding 02:41 Three Core HTTP Endpoints: Send, Receive, Topology 03:22 Dual-Layer Encryption: TLS and End-to-End 04:26 Building with AXL: Send and Receive Pattern 05:15 Use Cases: Agent Collaboration and Chat Rooms 05:40 MCP and A2A Protocol Support 06:32 Getting Started: Clone, Build, Generate Identity 07:12 What You Can Build with AXL 07:29 Agent Collaboration: Decentralized Research 07:48 Service Registry and Tool Marketplace 08:23 Private Data Exchange with Encryption 08:51 Distributed Inference and Pipeline Parallelism 09:17 Packaged Examples: Gossip, Tensor Exchange, A2A 09:58 Live Demo: Peer-to-Peer Group Chat with OpenClaw Agent 11:27 Shared Agent Instance Across Multiple Users 13:45 How the Demo Works Under the Hood 14:23 Resources and Getting Started 14:41 Closing _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🤖 *Open Agents 2026* This workshop is part of Open Agents 2026, an online hackathon held from April 24 to May 6. 18:37Build Agents with 0G + Office hours I Gathin T
ETHGlobalMay 9, 2026
In this workshop, Gathin T from 0G provides a refresher on the 0G stack for hackathon participants and walks through the builder hub. He frames 0G's mission around solving trust vulnerabilities in the agent economy, where centralized AI acts as a black box with no verifiability of inputs, outputs, censorship resistance mechanisms, or actual inferencing costs. 0G addresses this as a Layer 1 EVM-compatible chain purpose-built for on-chain AI with four core components: storage, data availability, compute, and a service marketplace. Gathin T explains key technical updates including the simplified storage SDK with just uploader and downloader functions (no flow contracts needed), recently launched encryption for data uploads, and KV storage achievable through the existing log storage. He covers 0G's verifiable inferencing through TEE environments with ZKML proofs across models like GLM 5.1, DeepSeek 27B, and GPT-OSS, plus on-chain fine-tuning. He dives deeper into ERC-7857 (Agentic IDs), explaining why ERC-721/1155 don't work for AI agents (static metadata, no encrypted model data, no re-keying on transfer) and how the new standard enables encrypted metadata, TEE oracle re-encryption on transfer, and up to 100 delegated users per token. The hackathon offers two $7.5K tracks (framework/tooling and agent builds), and Gathin T introduces the Guild on 0G 2.0 grants program for post-hackathon scaling support. 00:00 Introduction and Workshop Overview 00:58 Speaker Introduction 01:13 The Trust Problem in the Agent Economy 02:13 What Is 0G: Decentralized AI Operating System 02:45 Four Core Pillars Overview 03:29 Why Native Storage for AI Workloads 04:27 Data Availability Layer Explained 04:58 Verifiable Inferencing in TEE Environments 05:30 On-Chain Fine-Tuning and Model Marketplace 06:39 Problems with Centralized AI Today 07:32 Censorship Control and Incentive Structures 08:24 0G Storage SDK: Uploader and Downloader Functions 09:39 How Data Distribution and Merkle Trees Work 10:08 Recently Launched Encryption Feature 10:32 Cost Comparison: AWS S3 vs 0G Storage 11:29 GLM 5.1 and Verifiable Inferencing with ZKML 12:09 DA Throughput, TPS, and Sub-Second Block Finality 12:40 ERC-7857: Why Existing NFT Standards Don't Fit AI 13:34 Agentic ID Features: Re-Encryption and Delegation 13:58 Mainnet Launch and Ecosystem Stats 14:55 Guild on 0G 2.0 Grants Program 15:49 Alignment Nodes and Governance 16:27 Hackathon Tracks: Framework and Agent Builds 17:18 Project Idea Bank and MVP Review Support 17:53 Builder Hub and Telegram Support Channel 18:11 Closing and Office Hours Transition _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🤖 *Open Agents 2026* This workshop is part of Open Agents 2026, an online hackathon held from April 24 to May 6. Open Conversations: Privacy Can't Ask Permission (Roger Dingledine, Tor Project)
Funding the CommonsMar 9, 2026
Privacy infrastructure can't be conditional on institutional approval. It has to work for anyone, no permission required. This is the vision Roger Dingledine, co-founder of Tor Project, has been building toward for over two decades. His technology has helped hundreds of thousands of people institutions failed to protect—activists under authoritarian regimes, journalists exposing corruption, people seeking healthcare their governments criminalized. In this conversation, Roger argues that metadata protection—who you talk to, where you go online, the patterns you leave behind—should be infrastructure, not a privilege, that protects people institutions don't. Deep Dive into Privacy Enhancing Technologies I Remi Gai
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
Remi Gai’s talk, “Deep Dive into Privacy Enhancing Technologies,” explores the critical need for privacy in blockchain and crypto, highlighting that transparency, while useful for verification and compliance, deters adoption due to privacy concerns. Remi explains privacy as a spectrum: from pseudonymity (default, but weak privacy), to confidentiality (hiding amounts), anonymity (hiding participants), and total privacy (hiding all data). He reviews privacy-enhancing technologies: Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK), Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), and Multi-Party Computation (MPC), comparing their trade-offs in compliance, composability, and performance. Remi emphasizes the importance of flexible decryption and composability for compliance and business logic, introducing confidential tokens and the Confidential Token Association. He presents Inco, a private compute layer using encryption-based approaches for EVM-compatible blockchains, enabling confidential tokens, private voting, and gaming with minimal developer friction. 07:19Create Data Coin and Agent with Lighthouse I Aakash Taneja
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
Aakash Taneja from Lighthouse demonstrates how to create a complete data-to-token pipeline using Lighthouse and 1membb.io. He explains how Lighthouse enables permanent, decentralized storage on Filecoin with built-in encryption and on-chain access control, so developers can keep data private while still allowing programmable access from their apps. The walkthrough covers logging in via MetaMask, uploading both public and encrypted files, and using API keys with the JavaScript and Python SDKs to interact with Lighthouse programmatically. Aakash then introduces Data Coins — tokens that represent access rights to valuable private datasets — and shows how to create one using 1membb.io, complete with metadata, images, vesting, and locked asset conditions. He finishes by showcasing a sample app: POP Rewards (Proof of Purchase), which verifies Amazon order history via Reclaim, uploads encrypted proofs to Lighthouse, and mints reward tokens (POP) for users. This flow demonstrates how developers can let users earn tokens from verified private data—a powerful hackathon-ready concept for Web3 data monetization. 00:10 Introduction to Lighthouse & session overview 00:28 What is Lighthouse (Filecoin-based storage with encryption & access control) 00:53 Uploading public and encrypted files 01:18 Logging in via MetaMask and uploading example image 01:41 Encrypted file upload flow and decryption rights 02:05 Creating API keys for SDK integration 02:32 Using the SDK: upload, uploadText, uploadEncrypted 03:09 Encryption features: share file, revoke, set token conditions 03:30 Introducing Data Coins — tokenized access to data 03:48 Creating a Data Coin on 1membb.io (POP Rewards example) 04:27 Configuring metadata, chain, vesting, and locked assets 05:17 Using programmatic scripts to create Data Coins 05:34 Rider bounty challenge: build projects rewarding private data 06:01 Demo app: POP Rewards (Proof of Purchase for Amazon orders) 06:22 Verifying proofs with Reclaim and uploading to Lighthouse 06:47 Minting POP tokens for verified users 07:10 Final summary — monetizing private data with Lighthouse _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 💻 ETHOnline 2025 This workshop is specifically for ETHOnline 2025, a 21-day hackathon held October 10 - 31, 2025, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ✅ Follow Lighthouse X: https://x.com/LighthouseWeb3 ✅ Follow ETHGlobal X: https://x.com/ETHGlobal Warpcast: https://warpcast.com/ethglobal Website: https://ethglobal.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ETHGlobal _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Are you interested in Ethereum development and entrepreneurship?_ 👉 Sign up for the next ETHGlobal event: https://ethglobal.com/events 🎁 Get exclusive access and perks with ETHGlobal Plus! https://ethglobal.com/plus 📣 Want us to throw an event in your city? 28:46Signing on Behalf of Users Without Their Private Keys I Wyatt Barnes
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
Wyatt (Lit Protocol) presents Vincent, a non-custodial framework that lets apps sign on behalf of users without ever holding their private keys. It’s built on Lit’s decentralized key management network: user keys are Programmable Key Pairs (PKPs) sharded across Lit nodes and used via threshold signatures inside trusted execution environments (TEEs). Lit also provides threshold encryption and Lit Actions (JavaScript run inside TEEs) so you can combine programmable signing, secure decryption, and arbitrary Web2/Web3 logic. Users authenticate with something familiar (email, Google, Discord, passkeys, etc.); the auth is bound to their PKP, and signatures are produced by the network—not by the app. Vincent turns that capability into scoped delegation. Users grant a Vincent app specific Abilities (e.g., swap on Uniswap, deposit/withdraw on Morpho, bridge via deBridge) optionally constrained by user-defined Policies (daily spend caps, token allowlists, allocation limits). Delegation is recorded on-chain and can be revoked anytime; apps never see the private key. Each app/user pair gets an isolated agent wallet, so funds and permissions don’t bleed across apps. With this setup, anything that requires a signature can be safely automated—yield rotation, cross-chain rebalancing, scheduled tasks, agentic/A.I. workflows—triggered by on/off-chain events while the user is offline. 00:09 Intro, team, agenda 01:27 Lit Protocol overview: PKPs, TEEs, threshold crypto 03:30 Access control + encryption; Lit Actions (JS in TEEs) 05:44 Network stats & resources 06:33 What is Vincent? 31:30Create Data Coin and Agent with Lighthouse I Nandit Mehra
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
Nandit (with Akash) introduces Lighthouse—a developer platform for permanent, verifiable, and access-controlled storage—and their new product 1mb.io, which lets you launch “data coins” and data agents to reward users (or A.I. agents) for contributing valuable datasets. Lighthouse tackles three pain points: long-term data is expensive/hard to verify, access control on decentralized storage is weak, and the tooling is fragmented. Their solution combines (1) permanent storage funded by an on-chain endowment that pays Filecoin miners so you “pay once, store forever,” (2) threshold-crypto access control where each file has its own key, sharded across 5 nodes with 3-of-5 recovery, and (3) a unified SDK (JS & Python) plus web app/CLI. Files are encrypted client-side before upload, and decryption can be token-gated by on-chain logic (NFT ownership, token balances, timelocks, or pay-to-unlock). Current users include Eternal AI (open-source model hosting), Ocean (data marketplace), large-scale NFT storage, and Webhash (ENS sites served from Lighthouse). On top of this, 1mb.io turns data into an asset. Creators deploy a data coin (Sepolia testnet or mainnets like Base/Polygon/VeChain/World Chain), encrypt & host datasets on Lighthouse, set contribution/reward rules, and optionally trade the coin via a built-in Uniswap integration. Examples: a Ride-Sharing DAO paying Uber users who privately prove ride histories via ZK-TLS (Reclaim/Opacity); Pantry Points paying Zomato users for order data; and Miles, an AI augmentation engine where contributors upload real images/maps, pick conditions (e.g., “heavy rain”), and receive coins while an agent generates synthetic data to enlarge the dataset. The live workshop showed: uploading (plain/encrypted), API key creation, SDK calls for upload, uploadEncrypted, share/revoke access, and token-gating checks; then the data-coin creation flow (naming, chain, vesting, lock asset like USDC). Hackathon guidance: just storing on Lighthouse is good, but to be prize-competitive you should launch a data coin on 1mb.io, encrypt/token-gate access, and use the coin in your protocol’s flows (payments, contributor rewards, gated dashboards). Lighthouse doesn’t supply AI models (bring your own); data verification is up to builders (e.g., ZK proofs), and the market will reward higher-quality coins/datasets. SDKs are framework-agnostic, so you can integrate with OpenAI/agents/MCP, etc. 00:10 What Lighthouse solves (permanent storage, secure access, unified SDK) 02:27 How permanent storage works (on-chain endowment → Filecoin miners) 02:54 Threshold-crypto access control (per-file keys, 3-of-5 shards) 04:36 Token-gated decryption via on-chain logic (NFTs, tokens, timelocks, paywalls) 05:35 Who’s using it (Eternal AI, Ocean, NFT storage, Webhash) 06:38 Why 1mb.io (monetize private/siloed data; reward users/agents) 08:10 Data-coin flow (deploy coin, encrypt/upload, reward contributors, DEX trading) 09:06 Stack view (Lighthouse base + 1mb layer + dataset marketplaces) 10:47 Example verticals (chat history, loyalty, maps; synthetic data generation) 15:03 Live: upload (plain/encrypted), API key, SDK usage 17:31 Networks supported & token-gating docs 17:57 Live: create a data coin (chain, vesting, lock asset) 20:31 Live app: Miles synthetic data agent (rewards per image) 21:52 Live app: Pantry Points (ZK-TLS + Zomato orders → rewards) 23:22 Q&A: how to qualify for bounties (launch a data coin, integrate gating/payments) 27:53 AI model sourcing (BYO), data verification (ZK proofs), framework compatibility _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 💻 ETHOnline 2025 This workshop is specifically for ETHOnline 2025, a 21-day hackathon held October 10 - 31, 2025, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ✅ Follow Lighthouse X: https://x.com/LighthouseWeb3 ✅ Follow ETHGlobal X: https://x.com/ETHGlobal Warpcast: https://warpcast.com/ethglobal Website: https://ethglobal.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ETHGlobal _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Are you interested in Ethereum development and entrepreneurship?_ 👉 Sign up for the next ETHGlobal event: https://ethglobal.com/events 🎁 Get exclusive access and perks with ETHGlobal Plus! https://ethglobal.com/plus 📣 Want us to throw an event in your city? Intro to Building on The Graph and Hypergraph I Kevin Jones
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
Kevin Jones from Edge & Node introduces The Graph as a decentralized indexing layer for blockchain data, emphasizing its evolution beyond subgraphs to include token APIs, MCP servers, Substreams, and Hypergraph. For the hackathon, developers are encouraged to build with these newer tools to qualify for bounties. He explains how Substreams enables real-time blockchain data streaming to external databases, while Hypergraph allows developers to build knowledge graph-based applications with private, encrypted, and verifiable data. The platform integrates Geo Connect for authentication, uses React with Next.js or Vite for front-end scaffolding, and introduces GRC20, the specification for structuring and publishing data to the decentralized knowledge layer called Geo. The demo walks through how developers can create public and private spaces, manage entities, and publish encrypted or public data using the Hypergraph framework. Kevin highlights the role of TypeSync, a tool that visually manages schema types and relationships within projects, and demonstrates the end-to-end process of authenticating, creating entities, syncing schemas, and publishing data. Example applications include DApp registries, governance platforms, and collaborative tools where users can maintain both private and public datasets. Ultimately, Hypergraph provides a full-stack, privacy-first framework for decentralized knowledge sharing, opening new pathways for structured, reusable, and encrypted blockchain data. 00:02 – Introduction & Overview of The Graph 00:47 – Decentralized Indexing & Data Access 01:12 – Token APIs, MCP Servers, and Substreams 02:16 – Hackathon Bounties & Categories 02:39 – Introduction to Hypergraph Framework 04:06 – Private Data & Local-First Encryption 05:16 – Full-Stack Setup with React, Vite, and Next.js 05:44 – Knowledge Graphs Explained (Entities, Relations, Spaces) 07:10 – Public vs Private Spaces in Hypergraph 08:02 – Sync Server & Geo Connect Architecture 08:55 – Code Example: Entities and Relations 10:19 – Publishing to Knowledge Graph (Public/Private Data) 10:40 – Example Use Cases: Crypto Projects, Governance, Registries 11:23 – Demo: Setting Up a Hypergraph Project 12:10 – Scaffolding with NPX & Framework Options 13:16 – Using TypeSync for Schema Management 15:16 – Creating Private & Public Spaces 17:29 – Exploring Knowledge Graph Data 18:05 – Managing Schema and Types in Code 19:43 – Updating and Syncing Entities 20:04 – Publishing Data to Sync Server and Knowledge Graph _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇮🇳 *ETHGlobal New Delhi* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New Delhi, a 3-day hackathon held September 19-21 at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! 20:32Filecoin Workshop I Arpit Bindal, Rishikesh Kale and Abhay U
ETHGlobalNov 9, 2025
This workshop covers the Filecoin Onchain Cloud vision and two partner offerings—Lighthouse and Akave—for builders who need decentralized storage that feels like modern cloud. Filecoin’s stack is evolving from IPFS and cold storage to a programmable “onchain cloud” spanning storage, retrieval (Filecoin Beam CDN), compute and AI infra, and DePIN, all accessible from a JavaScript/TypeScript client SDK (Synapse). Payments are stabilized via USDFC (a Filecoin-native stablecoin), with optional native FIL, and storage proofs remain backed by Filecoin’s proof layer. Developers can use warm object storage, stable pricing, and verifiable CIDs, and can request early access ahead of the official launch at Devconnect. Lighthouse presents “pay once, store forever” using an endowment pool tied to DeFi yields that perpetually renews Filecoin deals. Its SDK unifies upload, retrieval, and BLS threshold encryption–based access control, enabling token-gated data and private sharing. A new feature, DataCoin (1mb.io), lets creators tokenize datasets and build apps that share revenue with data generators. Akave targets adoption with S3-compatible endpoints and zero egress fees: migrate with rclone, keep existing code, and get client-side encryption plus Reed–Solomon erasure coding across decentralized nodes for redundancy and recovery. The team outlines hackathon bounties and tracks spanning AI/ML datasets and checkpoints, lakehouses, cross-cloud analytics, DePIN compute, and immutable backup. 00:00 – Bounties overview and why decentralized storage now 01:05 – Filecoin Onchain Cloud: storage, retrieval, compute/AI, DePIN 02:41 – From IPFS and cold storage to FVM and L2-plus vision 04:07 – Current capacity, usage, and ecosystem stats 04:56 – Architecture: client SDK, service layer, payment layer (USDFC), proofs 05:59 – Warm object storage and Filecoin Beam CDN 06:21 – Stablecoin payments vs native payments 06:45 – Verifiable CIDs and content addressing example 07:10 – Liquidity, TVL, and stability pool metrics 07:36 – Synapse SDK: one-stop dev entry, ideas and early access 08:38 – Launch timing and Devconnect demo plans 08:59 – Lighthouse intro: Filecoin/IPFS, pay-once store-forever 10:06 – Endowment pool model and perpetual renewals 11:07 – Access control via BLS threshold crypto, token gating 12:09 – Data monetization with DataCoin (1mb.io) and docs 13:37 – Creating a DataCoin and app integration patterns 14:56 – Akave focus on enterprise-friendly adoption 15:18 – S3-compatible endpoints, zero egress, versioned immutability 16:43 – Migration with rclone; high-level architecture 17:37 – Client-side encryption and 32-MB chunking 17:59 – Reed–Solomon erasure coding, redundancy, recovery 18:59 – Hackathon tracks: AI/ML datasets, checkpoints, lakehouse, DePIN compute, backups 20:04 – Getting Akave credentials and support channels _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇮🇳 *ETHGlobal New Delhi* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New Delhi, a 3-day hackathon held September 19-21 at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! Swarm's Unstoppable Features || Noah Maizels
SwarmJun 20, 2024
In this presentation we explore the underlying technical design choices which enable Swarm's unstoppable and censorship-resistant characteristics. We will take a deep dive into the technical features powering Swarm, such as its chunk-based storage model, which distributes file segments across a network to prevent data loss and censorship. We'll also discuss the Swarm's approach to storage incentives, and content addressing. Additionally, we will learn how optional features like encryption and erasure coding further enhance privacy and data persistence. In this video, Noah, a member of the DevRel team with a focus on documentation and educational articles, explains the features that make Swarm an unstoppable platform. He breaks down complex concepts into plain language for a broad audience. The presentation covers three main characteristics of Swarm: data persistence, data availability, and censorship resistance. Noah delves into Swarm's chunk-based storage model, where files are split into chunks and distributed across the network to ensure redundancy and resistance to network changes. He also discusses the anonymity of upload and download requests for privacy. The incentives model is explored, detailing how storage nodes are rewarded for honesty through a game-like mechanism that penalizes censorship and ensures data integrity. Payment and addressing models are explained, highlighting how anyone can contribute to keeping data online through postage batches and how content addressing ensures consistent references for files. Lastly, Noah touches on optional features like encryption for privacy and erasure coding for data protection against loss or large-scale network failures. The video concludes with a demo using VJS, demonstrating how to create postage batches, upload data, and download it with encryption and erasure coding enabled. Noah encourages viewers to try out these features themselves.
Untangling Encryption
ZuBerlinJun 14, 2024
Clip The video features a talk by Bowen from Airblock, titled "Untangling Encryption," focusing on the misconceptions and applications of encryption in the context of blockchain technology. The speaker emphasizes that encryption is often misunderstood as being synonymous with privacy and anonymity, which is not always the case. He discusses how encryption is used in various applications beyond just privacy coins and highlights that there is no one-size-fits-all encryption solution. Instead, different tools like Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK), Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), and Secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) can be mixed and matched based on specific needs. Bowen also addresses the inaccessibility of encryption tools, which are often chain-specific, leading to high costs and delayed adoption. He corrects the misconception that encryption is only for DeFi or used by extremists, explaining its broader applications such as in gaming and resistance to censorship. The talk also covers the future of encryption, aiming for it to be programmable, accessible, compliant, and seamlessly integrated into user experiences without them being aware of its use. Bowen mentions Airblock's focus on creating modular and composable encryption solutions to facilitate development. Bowen concludes by encouraging consideration of user needs when developing cutting-edge technology. The session ends with a Q
