Join Sandeep Nailwal, Rene Reinsberg, Alex Gluchowski & Steven Goldfeder I Pragma Denver 2024

Explore the future of Ethereum scaling in this must-watch panel from Pragma Denver 2024. ETHGlobal’s Kartik Talwar moderates a powerful conversation with leaders from Polygon Labs (Sandeep Nailwal), Celo (Rene Reinsberg), Matter Labs / zkSync (Alex Gluchowski), and Offchain Labs / Arbitrum (Steven Goldfeder). Topics include rollup architecture, ZK vs. optimistic proofs, chain aggregation vs. modularity, L2 vs. L3 infrastructure, and the race to build a seamless, trustless internet. Learn how the major Ethereum ecosystems are converging on scalability, composability, and decentralization—and what the road to a unified onchain economy really looks like. 00:00 Intro by Kartik Talwar 01:06 Defining aggregation vs modular blockchain scaling 03:07 Sandeep on Polygon’s Aggregated ZK Vision 05:14 Rene on Celo’s L1 to L2 transition 08:59 Evaluating user needs across L2 ecosystems 09:56 Steven on Arbitrum’s custom clusters and Orbit 14:23 Alex introduces zkSync’s hyperchain network 16:03 Why ZK proofs are key to interoperability 19:26 Steven challenges ZK assumptions with Ethereum finality 23:02 Alex’s defense: sovereignty and ZK aggregation 25:13 Sandeep on UX and cost of proving 28:14 Optimistic vs ZK rollup cost trade-offs 29:46 Rene on Ethereum’s strength from diversity 32:08 Steven: why optimistic rollups work today 34:20 Toward shared trustless value across ecosystems 35:38 Closing thoughts and panel wrap-up _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇺🇸 *Pragma Denver* Pragma Denver 2024 took place at The Arch in Denver on February 28, 2024, and was an in-person summit for builders and leaders in the web3 ecosystem. Pragma is a one-stage conference with founders-only on stage, bringing together a small group of curated attendees and speakers to discuss the future of web3 and reflect on the past.
