When I got the message from web 3 bridge that I was accepted to the boot camp, it felt really good because it was long awaited. When I saw the acceptance email, I felt really great. Um because the assessment test was a serious drill. Um we're given just 2 hours to um achieve a mini project. Getting that meal was finally that was how it felt.

Words cannot explain how excited I was to when I saw the acceptance email.

I was very excited and happy coming to web priv.

I prayed about this opportunity and when I got the message that oh I got him. I was like God this is it. Before We bridge, I was a content writer and an aspiring solidity developer. I started learning solidity about 4 months ago and I came to work through bridge to expand on the foundational knowledge I've been able to build

before I told you guys I used to on air drops air drop. But due to the fact that you get some time air drop was not really paying if you are not like ano with a lot of followers. So I had to move from the um the airrop part to like the development part to add something to the web 3 ecosystem.

I was just a student learning studying chemistry. But after learning about web 3 and the power it gives it gives you to own and control your feelings then I fall in love with web 3. When I when I learned try to learn solidity I did not have any knowledge of it. So I was like okay why don't I just become a professional at this and just pivot fully into web 3 because I'm I'll be wearing web 3 everywhere. So I chose to come on site because back where I'm from distractions are many cuz I do so many things.

So I wanted to be focused. The way they pattern the classes and the rest would ensure that you are diligent and you are serious especially if you already know what you came here for.

All my life I've learned I learned coding through uh YouTube resources online and all. For me being here means that this is all I have. I have no other thing to go back to to fall back cuz I resigned all my job 90% of all my job. So this is all I have. So, I needed to be here to get the teaching firsthand.

So, while I'm here, I will get everything right here than being at home. I've been on online meetings a lot of times and I can be cooking while I'm in a meeting. I can be watching football while I'm in a meeting and I can even mute myself and just leave my computer. But here, I'm actively learning and pairing with these people is amazing.

Um, learning anything by yourself. Um probably if you are online or if you're not here it's it's possible but it takes um 100% commitment and determination and there are a lot of distractions are there but when you are in this place on site the web bench environment um you get to meet with like minds um in fact it goes beyond what you learn in class

cuz I know joining online that will not be easy for me cuz the way I am on site now I had to let my job easy like I'm here now fully for the web period no distraction fully focused

so as a developer there are few things that you need to survive one is light one is one is um food and um the accommodation and I'll tell you one thing

the web three bridge facility there's light there's water they give food so you don't have to worry about cooking you don't have to worry when next I get to market all those things. The fact that now we need to think about um what to eat, going to get something to buy like to cook and data that's a very big problem.

The constant electricity which is something I used to have problem with. It's not it's not is not an issue here. So that has helped me you know focus more and

some of us we are coming from places where we don't get light always. um you might not even have the resources to get internet always but coming here we have access to all this and it makes everything is um the learning easier and

there's obviously no excuse for you not to like practice and get better at coding solidity or web 3 in general

to be called a web3 bridge student means a lot to me because after leaving this web3 bridge I am the face and ambassador of this web 3 take it or leave it because if other mentors that have graduated did not represent web three bridge I might not be in web 3 bridge today carrying the badge of web three as a web three bridge student proves the points that I'm diligent because web3 bridge stands for diligent so I think that's what it does

web3 bridge is a big name like having opportunity to be here like I've been selected to join web 3 even onsite not online is a very big thing like you I just tell people I'm in web 3.

U 3 bridge has laid a standard you know that um as a student when you when you are called a three student um you have to live up to that standard. There are rules and regulations here. There are principles here. You can't just come here and do anyhow. You have to be serious minded um in everything that is done here.

So um you have to live up to responsibility. So being a web 3 student feels like a a backup support for me because I it's just like I'm affiliated with a global body that is not just in the in the country Nigeria but it's like recognized globally.

Fast forward to 16 weeks later. My hope and my what I expect is to be able to build smart contracts that the whole world internationally will use and say okay this is a built secured um smart contract.

I have some ideas that I want to implement and in fact this 4 days alone I've already seen that this will really help me achieve those ideas. So I think in the next 16 weeks I should be able to um come up with solutions to those ideas that I already have. Personally, I want a loaded guitar repo and I just I just I just want to be able to like put myself out there like code in public, go for opportunities, hackathons and volunteer even if I have to.

I should become a skilled smart contract developer. I should be able to build smart contracts, work well with solidity and I hope to have connected with many other developers before then. I hope to have reached a um certain point where I can independently write smart contracts, where I can build cool projects, partner with uh people on projects, join hackathons and just be useful generally in this field and I also look forward to participating in hacking and winning some hacking before I even leave the cohort. I mean sincerely the the only reason I put in effort is to just get results. So when I learn solidity and become proficient at it, I just I'm expecting to get a good job.

I just want to be able to like talk about the ecosystem without um missing word without like just develop great product under this ecosystem and be the new generation of web three developers in Africa. Web three bridge. I would like to say thank you for this opportunity.

It's not easy to put up something like this. Um it takes commitment and takes um um passion.

To the team that organized this cohort. They are the best. Thank you.

To pull all this together is a lot. It means a lot to me to be able to get opportunity for free because I didn't pay I cannot really say enough thank you to web3 bridge because it's like an opportunity that even my parents hadn't given to me.

Shout out to web3 bridge. Thank you.

Thank you web3 bridge.

Thank you for the opportunity. I hope to make you proud.
