I'm the co-founder and CTO of Supermodel, and we're building a decentralized AI trend forecasting infrastructure for fashion. So while working in fashion for the last few years, I learned why large fashion brands need really good consumer data. Fashion brands discard a large part of their inventory every single season. This is billions of dollars of wasted product because this $2 trillion industry doesn't know what people want to wear anymore. But how did it get so bad?

Since the early 2000s, fashion has become increasingly fragmented and this has made trend forecasting really difficult. Because after all, what a 21-year-old girl in LA is wearing is not the same as a 21-year-old in Nebraska, let alone London or Tokyo. So you need good AI that can parse through consumer data and understand trends all around the world. So that's what we've done. We built this world's first AI that can understand fashion aesthetics and culture.

By understanding style and what people are wearing in the market, we can make the holy grail of fashion finally possible, which is AI trend forecasting. So we apply this AI to social media data from a number of different platforms to detect trends. As you can see on the screen in front of you, the AI is able to pick up some really detailed style trends, and this is all currently running on Livepeer's decentralized AI subnet. We've deployed a number of different models that give you a really holistic view of an outfit, from who is wearing it to where they're wearing it, and even what it is made up of. But for a brand, this is really powerful when you can scale this to millions of photos and images and videos to understand what different people in a market are wearing.

And this is what makes trends actionable for product development, allocation, and recommendations. for product development, allocation, and recommendations. So just as a little bit of a summary, we're planning to scale these social media and data pipelines here on the left through the decentralized Livepeer Cloud Network, where we apply our AI algorithms to aggregate fashion trends and then make it actionable for brands to understand what consumers actually want to wear. So our data infrastructure is now ready to go with Livepeer, and we're already working with a few major fashion brands. So it's just a matter of scaling up and staking our claim in this $2 trillion industry.
